U.S. News & World Report published its highly anticipated 2017 Best Colleges Report Sept. 12, and many Mount Holyoke students were disappointed to see its ranking as 36th, marked as a tie with Lafayette College.  

First year student mailboxes to move from Blanchard to Auxiliary

This academic school year has already featured several significant changes to daily life on campus. Mail is no exception — the mail collection system is moving from Blanchard Campus Center to Auxiliary Services. The first year class now receives all their mail from inside Auxiliary Services, packages and letters alike.

Ham Hall evacuated after bulletin board poster set on fire

Early Wednesday morning, at 1:34 a.m., Campus Police responded to a fire alarm that went off on the second floor of Ham Hall. A poster pinned to a bulletin board was intentionally set ablaze, creating a small fire that burned through to the cork board. According to the Campus Police crime log, “A pull station was activated and the building was cleared.”

This year’s All Campus Elections took place over the last week, opening on March 31 and closing April 8. All positions for Class Boards, as well as the SGA Executive Board, were open. The winners were announced Tuesday, April 12 in Senate by the All Campus Elections Committee.
