Interest forms are accepted on a rolling basis and typically reviewed once a week. Applicants will usually hear back by the Friday or Saturday after their form has been reviewed. We tend to receive a large influx of forms at the beginning of the semester, so please allow a bit more time for us to reach out with a response. We do not read interest forms during school breaks. Keep writing samples to a 3-page maximum, please! If uploading multiple samples (e.g. for Photos or Graphics), please link to one Google Drive folder.

The Mount Holyoke News accepts all applicants. The Google forms linked below are just so we can get to know you, your skills, and what section you’d like to work with. All positions offer opportunities for training and we accept students regardless of experience level.

Note: Mount Holyoke News has finished its hiring cycle for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Join a Committee

MHN committees are interest-based groups that you can participate alongside your regular roles on the staff. Committees work on special non-writing projects (social events, fundraising, DEI work, etc.) throughout the school year. Committees report directly to the EBoard. Committeeing yourself is a great way to meet and connect with people outside of your section and work on projects that you are passionate about. You must be an active MHN staff member to serve on an MHN committee.
