On Sunday, April 2, Mount Holyoke sent 15 riders to compete in the Zone 1, Region 3 regional championship at Biscuit Hill Farm. Of the 15 MHC riders, seven finished top two in their respective flats and fences classes to qualify individually for zones championships next weekend at the Mount Holyoke Equestrian Center.

Mount Holyoke Crew ergs for charity

On Friday, Feb. 17, the Mount Holyoke crew team camped out in Blanchard Campus Center to fulfill their goal of rowing 400,000 meters in 12 hours for their erg-a-thon. Each member of the team took one or two hourlong shifts on three ergometers or ‘ergs’ set up near the Uncommon Grounds coffee shop.

Mount Holyoke College Basketball saw New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference action this past Saturday, facing Massachusetts rival Wheaton College in front of an energetic crowd at Mount Holyoke's home gymnasium. After numerous lead changes, Wheaton edged out MHC and the game concluded with a final score of 70-34.
Riding competes in tournament of champions

Mount Holyoke Equestrian traveled to Emory, Va., where they competed in their final leg of the 2016-2017 Tournament of Champions series at the Winter II Classic. The show began with intermediate flat, where Mika McKinney '18 saw a nice ride for a sixth place finish. Bridget Finnerty '17 followed with a beautiful ride in open over fences where she claimed the first place spot in an incredibly competitive field. In intermediate over fences, Taryn Isenburg '18 completed a nice ride for a seventh place finish and returned to the ring to compete in a section of the High Collegiate Medal. While she rode well, she did not make the callback.
Squash defeats Haverford, falls to Dickinson

Mount Holyoke Squash – ranked 29th nationally by the College Squash Association – traveled to Haverford, Pa. on Saturday morning to face the 30th-ranked Haverford College Fords. After the Lyons secured a 9-0 victory in Haverford, they took to the road once more to face 20th-ranked Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA. Mount Holyoke put up a good fight, taking six matches past three games, but ultimately the Dickinson Red Devils landed the 9-0 win. These two matches bring Mount Holyoke Squash to 3-14 for the season.
